Sumner Health Centre was originally founded by Dr. Howard Livingston and was run as a single doctor practice until his retirement in 2002 when Dr. Sally Widdowson stepped in, building on the reputation for quality care, with traditional values applied to cutting-edge medical practice.

The practice grew and grew and Sally was joined by Jim Ross, who stayed until 2006. Jim now practices in Dunedin.

Sally left to travel abroad in December 2006 and the practice is now run by the present day team.

Our Seagulls on the walls have attracted a lot of attention and a lot of positive comment from local people. We are grateful to our artist, Claire Jackson, for her stunning design.
